Text | The club has decided to allow the boarded outfield to remain, also the skin diamond. The infield is very rough at present and when the clayey surface becomes baked by the sun it will be a hard field to play ball on. There is nothing like turf. Mr. Wiman is ready to make the field perfect if the club would stay, but it is not worth his while for a single season. The club’s team will not win the pennant on the ground as it is. |
