Description | The Paxton Weekly Record, July 9, 1874: "Gibson Gleanings...The third base ball game of the series between the Saybrook and Gibson clubs was played at Gibson on the 27th and resulted in a score of 41 for Gibson and 29 for Saybrook." The Kankakee Gazette Aug. 13, 1874 reported that the Gibson nine beat Paxton 88-20. The town had 1,260 residents in 1880. |
