Data | It was reported that "base ball" was played at the school treat of the Sunday and National Day Schools of the village of Lane End in Buckinghamshire: "After tea, a variety of games were introduced, such as cricket, 'Aunt Sally'--which appeared to be the most liberally patronised by the young people--while others found amusement in base ball and various sports." |
