Text | [reporting on the convention of the National Association] The Nomination Committee then read their report through Mr. Daves[sic], of the Knickerbocker Club, the features of it being a recommendation to reject all applications from colored clubs for representation in the Association. The recommendation was fully indorsed by the convention, and the report was adopted with but few dissenting votes. |
