Text | [Philadelphia vs. Mutual 10/4/1873] In the fifth inning, after two men were out, Start made a good base hit, but, owing to Dehlman [umpire] failing to call “foul” loud enough, Start was put out at first base in returning on a foul hit by Nelson. |
