Text | The clay ground of the Base-ball Park will cause the postponement of many games during the coming season, and a corresponding reduction in the total gate receipts. A sandy soil will absorb rains almost immediately, and a clay surface will have just the contrary effect. It was for the latter reason that there was no game yesterday between the Nationals and Cincinnatis. |
