Text	The contracts under which the players of the Utica nine for 1879 will be engaged differ materially from those of the past season. The new ones give the association power to lay off a player, any game or games, for any reasonable excuse, to deduct from this salary so much per game, as the number of games not played by him are in proportion of the number of games played during the season.
