Text | When Frank Fennelly [recently sold to the Athletics] signed a contract with the Cincinnati Club last winter it was a conditional one. He was to receive a salary of $2,000 for the season, and an additional $500 was to be paid him if he refrained entirely from the use of intoxicants. On last Tuesday, when Fennelly joined the Athletics in St. Louis, President Stern gave him a check for the $500. |
