Description

The Duluth Tribune, July 6, 1922 (and many other newspapers) ran a July 5th AP story: "Hungary today witnessed the first baseball game ever played in this country, when a team from the American legation and consulate here, captained by Consul Vaughn, lost a Fourth of July game to a similar team from Belgrade, captained by Consul Patton, 20 to 1."
