Description

The Arkansas Gazette, March 19, 1867 reports that the “base ball club will meet at St. Johns' College grounds on Saturday evening.” Same May 1, 1867 reports that Little Rock’s “Galaxy” Base Ball Club has accepted a challenge from the “Pulaski” Base Ball Club to play on Pulaski’s home grounds at the arsenal on May 11.

Little Rock is located in Pulaski County.

St. Johns College, established by the Freemasons, operated from 1850 to the 1880s.
