Text | Mr. Diddlebock has again been in correspondence with the manager of the [Baltimore] home club, and tendered the control of an Eastern League team to him, but the manager declines to accept the offer or to accord the privilege to anyone else. There seems to be a firm dead-lock, so far as that matter is concerned, and it is hardly probable that the young organization has sufficient leverage to pry away the obstacle to a representation in this city. |
