Text | [A] "INSTRUCT YOUR DELEGATES. Every delegate to the ensuing National Convention of Base Ball Players is supposed to be there solely as the representative of the opinions of the majority of his club, and he votes or should vote according to express instructions-- as far, of course, as the knowledge of the matters likely to come up for action before the Convention will admit of such instruction; such, for instance, as the question of the adoption of the fly and bound rule. We hope every delegate will be instructed by the members of his club how he is to vote on this question, so that there shall be no instance of two delegates from one club voting on both sides." |
