Win/Loss Records As Far As We Now Know

Warning: Users should not rely on a team's won-loss record as a reflection of its "standing" among all base ball clubs. Team schedules were not balanced, and a good record against mostly weak opponents does not signify a leading club.

This club was reactivated during the Civil War, and after New Orleans had been taken by the Union army. The New Orleans Times-Picayune, 10-1-64, 10-2-64, and 2-7-65 ran ads announcing a meeting of this club. For example, 10-1-64: "NOTICE. There will be a meeting of the Lone Star Base Ball Club at the Louisiana Hotel, on Monday evening, Oct. 3d, at 7 o'clock. Full attendance is requested as business of importance will be transacted. J. Howard, President."
