Text	[from Brunell's column] Added to the Players' National League losses may be added the equipment cots in round numbers about as follows: Boston, $40,000; New York, $60,000; Philadelphia, $38,000; Brooklyn, $41,000, but not paid for by the club, but by outsiders, who also assumed the rent; Chicago, $25,000; Cleveland, $20,000; Pitssburg, $18,000; Buffalo, $13,000, $10,200 of which were paid to Rowe and White for the old International franchise in the shape of stock in the new club, $2500 cash, or notes, and debts of theirs assumed by the new company. This shows a ttotal investment for plants of $215,000, which, added to $125,000 lost, shows a grand total of $340,000. In this is included the cost of running the League for the expensive year, about $45,000, including all legal fees, etc.
